Boyzone star launches Virgin iPod-athon - www.macworld.co.uk - November 28th 2003

Your ALT-Text here Pop heartthrob Ronan Keating launched Apple's iPod Advent campaign at Virgin's London Oxford Street superstore last night.

The store will now play 28 days of continuous, unrepeated tracks all the way through until Christmas Eve – and all that music will be played from one iPod hosted in the store.

"Self-confessed Apple addict Keating kicked off Christmas festivities four days earlier than the Advent Calendar traditionally starts as a tribute to this year's biggest new star on the music scene – Apple's iPod", said Apple.

Keating said: "My iPod has become my travelling companion – it goes with me absolutely everywhere. The title of my new album, Turn It On is the perfect song to start iPod Advent."

Ronan Keating

BBC News - November 6th 2003

Your ALT-Text here It's hard to credit it - but a the age of 26, Ronan Keating has already spent 10 years at the top of the music business.

The Irish born singer burst onto the scene 10 years ago, with the original boy-band Boyzone.

Since their break-up, he's been the only member of the band to achieve solo success - with hits such as Life is a Rollercoaster and If Tomorrow Never Comes.

He's also been nurturing new talent, especially among Irish singers - and has played a prominent role in guiding another Irish band, Westlife.

At 0840 Ronan joined us live on the Breakfast sofa. A recording of our interview will be available shortly. (ed: You can view the interview on the BBC News site now!)

Ronan Keating's new single, Lost for Words, is out on Monday November 10. His third solo album Turn it On will be released on November 17

Don't forget to tune in on June 10th!
