Keating witnessed Snoop arrest

Ireland Online - April 28th 2006

Irish popstar Ronan Keating could be called to give evidence against Snoop Dogg after he witnessed the rapper's alleged brawl with police and staff at London's Heathrow airport on Wednesday.

According to eyewitnesses, the 'Life is a rollercoaster' crooner was present throughout the incident which is thought to have occurred after some members of the 'Drop it like it's hot' hitmaker's entourage were refused entry to the first class lounge.

The hip-hop star and five members of his entourage have been charged with violent disorder and affray following the alleged incident.

Irish Independent

"It was complete madness. A mini-riot. I didn't meet Snoop but I was standing beside his posse. They were all in handcuffs, with about 20 armed police surrounding them."

Ronan was en route to Germany after launching his new single All Over Again.

Ronan's Noisy Antics

Sky Showbiz - April 18th 2006

Ronan Keating is such a lovely lad...

He's the last person we'd have thought would be causing a rowdy rocker-style disturbance.

But the Irish crooner is driving a famous pensioner out of his home because of "noise pollution".

Alf Garnett star Warren Mitchell says he'll have to get away from his house when the ex-Boyzone singer plays his open-air concert at London's Kenwood House in August.

But Warren, who lives in nearby Highgate, says that concerts held at the venue are "just an organised p*** up".

He told The Sun: "It's awful. As well as noise from the concerts, there's some terrible MC making inane comments, disturbing the peace.

"You can't sit in the garden at all and simply contemplate nature. Our little dog has to hide under the bed."

A Kenwood House spokesman responded: "The concerts give huge pleasure to a lot of of people, including many residents."

That little dog just isn't one of them.

Ronan Keating grapples with a pillar box

Hello Magazine - April 14th 2006

Photo © Rex

Father-of-three Ronan Keating must be used to setting a good example for his young kids, and they certainly shouldn't worry if they see pix of him apparently making off with a traditional red pillar box – the singer was just recording his latest video.

Former Boyzoner Ronan is recording a new single, All Over Again, with Kate Rusby, and it looks like part of the brief for the accompanying video was to get to grips with a post box and carry it off.

The 29-year-old seemed to be getting a laugh out of the action, which was shot at Wapping Wall in East London, grinning as he tipped the box sideways after carefully assessing its dimensions.

With an upcoming new album, Bring You Home, and recently-launched his/her fragrances - Hope for women and Believe for men – you'd have thought Ronan would have his hands full already, without taking on a pillar box.

Ronan performs in Geneva for International Watch Company (IWC)

PR Newswire - April 5th 2006

The Swiss International Airlines hangar at the Geneva International Airport was dramatically transformed last evening into a scene from the bygone era of the glamorous 30's and 40's as Switzerland's prestigious watch manufacturer, International Watch Company (IWC), hosted its Grande Soirée Aviateur.

Numerous international celebrities including Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom and Joaquín Cortes joined IWC for the event, while Irish singing star Ronan Keating provided musical entertainment. Each year, IWC invites a distinguished list of guests to a glamorous soirée to mark the Company's presence and launch their latest watches at the International Watch Fair (SIHH) in Geneva.

Vintage Spitfire and Junker airplanes were spectacular focal points in the ballroom. Cabaret-style tables and Big Band music conjured up the Forties spirit for this evening dedicated to vintage aviation.

At this year's event, IWC, the watchmakers from Schaffhausen, Switzerland, launched their first motion picture called "Pilots", which stars acclaimed international actor John Malkovich.

The eight-minute film pays tribute to vintage aviation of the 30's and 40's when pilots were pioneers and became heroes of the airways, risking their lives to conquer new horizons. The film will premiere at exclusive occasions starting in April and highlights the new range of Pilot's watches launched this spring by the Company.

More than 1,000 guests, including international celebrities, retailers, IWC-partners and members of the international media joined IWC for its soirée and movie premiere.

Georges Kern, CEO of IWC, described the evening: "It was great to welcome so many friends of our brand. With our "Pilots"-movie we really wanted to depict the vintage style and the emotions connected to aviation."

VIP's also included Claude Nobs, Jean Alesi and his wife Kumiko Goto, Boris Becker, and gallery owner Tim Jefferies.

You can also find pictures of Ronan at the event at Isifa and Rex Features

Ronan will be performing at the Country Night Gstaad in Switzerland on the 8th and 9th of September 2006.  Click here for more details
